Wnat are the main differences between Angola and Mozambique?
Besides of the geographical ones, of course. I'm more interested on the social and cultural differences.

- Do they speak differently to each other?
- There are not many apart from the usual tribal quirks from the various African tribes therein.
- Angola has 6 letters and Mozambique has 10
- Angola & Mozambique are similar in many ways as far as their colonial history is concerned, both gained independance in the same year & both were torn apart by civil war. This is about as far as the similarity goes(with the exception of Portuguese cultural influence of course). Angola is rich in mineral resources(oil & diamonds amongst the main ones), Mozambique has few. Mozambiques capital is within a few hours drive of Johannesburg(Africas richest city) opening up the country to the benefits of trade that this brings; & the countrys beaches are offering the inhabitants of Jo'burg an alternative to making the long trek to the Natal or Cape coasts(again bringing in much needed revenue). Angola on the other hand is kind of isolated by its geography, to the north is war torn Congo, in the south the deserts of the Namibe & the wastes of northern Namibia, & eastward(inland from the main urban centres on the coast) vast stretches of bush with little infrastucture which makes contact with its neighbour Zambia impracticle. Angolas oilfields are readily being exploited by European & North American companies bringing in millions in much needed foreign currency & Mozambique is focusing on developing its tourist industry & developing its agricultural potential
