if i wanted to travel to africa or europe could i ride a cargo ship for cheap and how would i go about it?
I am looking for the cheapest way possible to travel overseas and i think crossing the ocean on a boat would be a great way to go.

- You can travel as passenger on some of the cargo ships, but as they need to have accommodation and insurance, they charge you almost the same as a cruise line would, without the benefits of the cruise line like entertainment. If you want to work your way across the oceans, you need to monster on, and to do that you need proof of experience or training. Which you can only get when you sign on to work for more than just one crossing. Check with your nearest port authorities what you need to work aboard and if they know ways to do it one way only.
