Cheap African Safari's?

How much do you think an average african safari would cost?

1. Depends what type of safari you take. I went with a group and they paid my way ;) so I don't know exactly how much it cost, but it was less than 200 American dollars. (not including flight expenses, food, lodging, etc.) The safari started in the afternoon, we spent one night in a hotel lodge on the Serengeti plains and switched vehicles the next day to drive to the airport in Nairobi.
2. when you like to see most of the beautiful things in africa cost btw 1000 to 2000 dollar. but if you are going just for a normal trip can be less than 1000 dollar. specifily your question like...where do like to go in Africa,Africa is big and for how long??
