Is there a way to travel to Africa and help the poor children?

I always wanted to help and I think it looks great on a college application. I'm 15, and are there annual trips to aid the poverty stricken children?

2. There are church groups and missions that do this. You may need to be a bit older. You may need to pay your own way. You can see the list below and find more by entering "Africa, missions," or "Africa, volunteer work" or similar phrases int the search bar. May take quite a bit or researching, but keep at it and try to find one that fits you.Oprah is sponsoring high school groups that train and send groups to different parts of the world on practical missions. They are called "O Ambassadors" See 2nd site .
3. I wanted to do that too cherry. I found a web site that said if we just click a button a bowl of staple food will be given to a hungry person. here it is. I don't know if its true though. http://www.bhookh.com/ Don' think its for Africa but some other country, think its India.
4. It is very possible that you can do it through Christain aids or very well established charities. It is something you would enjoy alot. African people are very warm hearted and welcoming.I must say that me and my family do seriously adore your efforts and we wish you all the best and God's Guidance as you embark on this extraordinary journey.
