Do you need a whip on an African safari?

I am a tourist and I was wondering if you need a whip on an African Safari?

2. ask the company that is taking you on the safari, they'll know. i would assume not.
3. I hate people that blindly believe the stereotype of anything. NO, unless you want to look like Indiana Jones, you do not need a whip. NO, you will not be eaten by lions. NO, Africans do NOT live in tree houses.
4. If you plan on whipping something besides your wiener!
