Gift ideas: any book on africa travel? Any suggestions?

I have a freind going to Sudan for two years and planning to travel around in Africa. I wanted to get him a parting gift. I was thinking of a good travel guide to africanor any such related thing that would be useful. ANy suggestions? I am also open to any other alternative gift ideas.

1. Why not search on the net for a book on Africa Safaris. Africa is nothing without its wildlife.
